First Electro Dynamics Corporation (FEDCOR)
First Electro Dynamics Corporation (Fedcor) was organized in October 1991 to provide quality products and services in the distribution, control and efficient utilization of electrical energy for both domestic and global markets. Its initial product line of instrument current transformers, which began commercial operation in 1993, was developed utilizing Filipino technology. Fedcor is 100% owned by First Holdings.
Fedcor has also diversified its services by engaging in the repair of substations, padmounted transformers, maintenance of electric distribution systems of high-rise buildings, and repair of automatic voltage regulators. It recently launched the commercial operation of the repair of special line distribution equipment, such as reclosers and sectionalizers. The on-site field servicing of padmounted transformer installations was also initiated. Recently, Fedcor ventured into transformer manufacturing when Philec decided to outsource some volumes to Fedcor.
Fedcor is an Integrated Management System certified company. It is also familiarizing itself with Six Sigma practices to result in cost savings for the company. Fedcor was recently award Investors in People status. Its facilities are located in First Philippine Industrial Park in Santo Tomas, Batangas.
