First Gen Renewables, Inc. (FGRI), formerly known as First Philippine Energy Corporation, was established in 1978 to develop prospects in the renewable energy market.  It is transforming itself from a mere supplier of products and systems to a service provider in the countryside. First Gen owns 100% of FGRI.

In 2004, First Gen participated and won the bid for the 1.6 MW Agusan Mini-Hydro Power Plant (FG Bukidnon Hydro Electric Power Plant), located in Damilad, Manolo, Fortich, Bukidnon, led by the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation.  FG Bukidnon Power Corp. is a 100% owned subsidiary of FGRI.

FGRI focuses on providing energy through new and renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, and mini-hydro.
