First Gen Hydro Power Corporation (FG Hydro) was incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Gen. On September 8, 2006, FG Hydro was the winning bidder of the 100 MW Pantabangan and the 12 MW Masiway hydroelectric power plants. They were transferred to FG Hydro in November 2006, representing the first major generating assets of the National Power Corporation to be successfully transferred to the private sector.
Both facilities are located in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.
Through FG Hydro, First Gen participated in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), where it became the largest non-government electricity trader. For more information, visit: |
