Incorporated in 1995, First Gas Holdings Corporation (FGHC) is the holding company for the development of gas-fired power plants and other non-power gas related businesses.

FGHC wholly owns First Gas Power Corporation (FGPC), the project company of the 1000 MW Santa Rita power plant.   FGPC started commercial operations in 2000. It generates electricity for Meralco under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement.  FGPC has an existing agreement with Siemens Power Operations, a subsidiary of Siemens AG.

FGHC is 60% owned by First Gen and 40% owned by BG Consolidated Holdings (Philippines) Inc.

FGHC and FGPC maintain their certifications for integrated management system (IMS): ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004, and OHSAS 1800:1999. All were simultaneously certified by AJA Registrars Inc., with UKAS accreditation.
